Feedback on my use of the BALANCE-Trainer & THERA-Vital

I use it for approx 15 mins every evening. My Physio has commented that there in a noticeable improvement in the function of my abdominal muscles - not quite a six pack yet but a considerable improvement in tone.
I'm sure that spending time just standing in the trainer is good to maintain bone density.

If just had blood tests done, which includes calcium and vitamin D, relevant to bone quality, but haven't had the results yet. However they haven't informed me of anything being wrong.

I intend to continue with the balance trainer for at least another 3 months and then review.

Feedback on my use of the THERA-Vital

I use it for approx 30 mins each morning - 25 minutes pedalling (legs) and 5 minutes or so upper limbs.

The idea of getting the machine was to improve muscle strength and cardio vascular activity.

I find that the upper limb exercise increases heart rate more than the pedalling does. I've not really been able to measure improvement in quadriceps or vastus muscles but my calf muscles have certainly improved. There has been an improvement in the range of dorsiflection in my ankles.

There has been a noticeable reduction in my blood pressure - at least 15 for the systolic and 10 for the diastolic. My blood pressure is usually around 125/70 when taken shortly after exercising. It was around 140/80 before.

There has also been an improvement in bladder function - less retention of urine in the bladder after urination.

Also, there has been a marked reduction in oedema in my feet.

I am pleased with the Thera machine and intend to use it regularly.
