The BALANCE-Trainer offers dynamic and static standing in one device.

It has a world wide patent & offers a unique balance training allowing active exercise for patients with many different conditions.

BALANCE-Trainer offers patients with partially or entirely limited standing the ability to stand safely while using the device dynamically. 

Using the latest technology, the BALANCE-Trainer (made in Germany by Medica) offers a safe and controlled position for a variety of training and balancing exercises. By allowing the patient the freedom to move safely in an upright position they are able to stimulate their motor / sensory and cognitive skills, while allowing the therapist the freedom to develop a full range of exercises for their patients with ease.

Basic Equipment

• Balance function with adjustable resistance 
• Releasing and blocking of the balance function with the release lever on the table (2-step, 6° and 12°)
• Stable frame with four lockable castors
• Metal foot plate with heel cups and foot fixings
• Wooden table with cushioned cut-out for the body
• Height adjustment of table with help of gas spring support
• Hand rail height right/left adjustable
• Patient size: approx. 150 - 200 cm

Professional use in rehabilitation

With the BALANCE-Trainer you allow safe dynamic standing and you transfer the patient’s weight to the BALANCE-Trainer. As a therapist you can concentrate better on your therapeutic work.

Practicing functional movements like the lunge or the weight shift etc. can be performed much easier and most importantly safer for both the patient and the therapist.

The possible movement range within the BALANCE-Trainer demands sensory, motor and cognitive activity from the patient.

Coordinative training “Collect apples”

The rabbit in the screen center is moved by the movements of the patient in the BALANCE-Trainer. The aim is to collect the red flashing apples and bring them back to the center. The diameter, the number of apples and further training parameters are individually adjustable.

Coordinative training “Outline - Line”

In the mode outline - line the training person moves the grey ball by his own movements. The aim is not to leave the blue line while catching the rings. Also in the outline-mode different training parameters such as line width or angle of the line are adjustable.

Coordinative training “Outline - Circle”

In the mode "Outline" for the training person there are 4 different outlines available:
- rectangle
- circle (visible on the left image)
- horizontal 8
- line
