I have purchased this equipment solely for my own use in order to reduce and minimise the need for and cost of visits to my private physiotherapist and to hold the deterioration in my stamina and muscle function and degeneration, and improve my circulation.
Here was a beautifully sleek and simple piece of equipment that I could use entirely on my own.
I first came across Medicotech at the Kemble Mobility Roadshow where I spotted a piece of equipment I instantly knew I had to have: the THERA-Trainer. Following a spinal injury, rehab and physiotherapy have been part of my life for 20 years. Here was a beautifully sleek and simple piece of equipment that I could use entirely on my own, exercising passively if I felt tired or actively if I wanted a good work-out. Moreover it had calf supports to steady the knees and flexible, rocking footplates that gently worked the feet as you pedalled. Minimal fuss in the monitor display unit - I don't need to see landscapes passing me by, I prefer to listen to music, watch television or learn a language as I pedal away.

I first met the Medicotech team, at the Mobility Show at Kemble Bristol in June 09, where they had a display. I was aware of this type of equipment, having spent 10 months as an in patient at National Spinal Injuries Unit, Stoke Mandeville, following an accident in June 2007.
Just a note to say that we are very pleased with the THERA-fit and Elise is enjoying using it both with her feet and with her hands.
Jenny feels, as I do, that the exercise is very good for her in both modes, but the arm workout is an extra which we had been unable to simulate in any other effective way. This is an excellent product.
